Ann Ligouri Manley was born the youngest of 6 children of Peter and Martha (Mathews) Manley. She attended Beaver Dam High School and graduated in June 1955. She attended nursing school at Cooke County Hospital in Chicago, Ill. Graduating in 1958 (or possibly 1959). She worked as a nurse in Beaver Dam, Milwaukee, Miami Beach and Sacramento. She never married. She was severely burned in late January or early February 1973 when her nightgown caught fire and suffered 3rd degree burns over more than 50% of her body. Even though she survived her burns they caused continuing medical problems the remainder of her life. She passed away 4/16/83 of septicemia thought to have been caused by the compromise of her immune system by her burns.

She was kind to a fault and took every opportunity to spoil my brothers and I as well as her other nieces and nephews. She was greatly loved and she passed away far too young at age 46. (Submitted by her nephew, Peter Manley)
