James Wayne Sloan, 61, died at his home near Temple early last Friday morning October 12, 1917, after an illness of only a few hours of acute indigestion. He was born July 31, 1856.
He was survived by his widow, the former Dora Landiss, a small daughter, two brothers, Harry and Oliver Sloan, of New Albany; three sisters, Mrs. William Manning, of Douglas, Wyo.; Anna Hall and Mrs. Ellen Sloan, of Labanon.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. A. J. Scott was held at Temple M. E. Church, Saturday afternoon and interment was made in the Temple Cemetery.
