Betty Jane Bernthisel, 92, of Bowling Green, OH died April 9, 2013, at Bowling Green Manor. She was born November 7, 1920, in Haskins, OH to Horace and Eliza (DeMuth) Browne. She was preceded in death by parents when she was a young girl. She then lived with brothers Lawrence and Earl Browne and Pastor Brock and his wife until she was married in 1938.

Betty was a member Haskins Community Church and Eastern Star Chapter in Waterville, OH for several years. She played piano and taught Sunday school at Haskins Federated Church where she took part in many women's groups. Her main love was staying in touch with her family to make sure they were happy and doing well. She loved family parties and get-togethers. Betty enjoyed playing the organ she had in her home, playing solitaire and taking care of her home near Haskins where she supported her husband in farming until he retired. She worked as a receptionist at MidAm Bank for 20 years, retiring in 1985.

Survivors include sons, Charles (Colette) and James (Jill) both of Bowling Green, OH and Robert (Kay) of Perrysburg, OH; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters, and her beloved husband, Richard, and grandson, Ryan Bernthisel.
