Kenneth Burgess Bean, age 84, of Lebanon, formerly of Maryville, passed away Monday, April 8, 2013 at the V.A. Hospital in Nashville. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served in World War II and Korea, and received 3 bronze stars.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Bean; parents, Carl and Elsie Jane Burgess; adoptive parents, Fred R. and Losalee Bean; and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his sons, Robert Bean, Kenneth Roger Bean, William Ralph (Billie) Bean; step-daughter, Jean Hammack; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Buddy Burgess; sisters, Ann Huff, and Thelma Campbell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Entombment service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, April 15, 2013 at Sherwood Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at their convenience from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM Sunday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville. (865) 982-6041.
