Obituary - Groesbeck Journal Today

Jacquelyn was born on January 13, 1946 to James Oscar Towns and Pinkie Brittan (Weaver) Towns at Bremond. She grew up and lived most of her life in Bremond, where she was a homemaker and raised her children. Jackie was married to Herman Dewey Crabb, Jr. on April 14, 1974 in Palestine, and they continued to live in Bremond. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bremond, and enjoyed gardening there. She always loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and large family. Typical holiday gatherings would include 85 people. She loved cooking for these gatherings, and when she no longer could handle all the work, she would plan and organize them. She moved to Cleburne later in life, where she lived eight years; and she loved being a member of the Red Hat Ladies of Cleburne. She continued to volunteer there in organizing events for her friends and neighbors. Jackie moved to Groesbeck where she lived the past two years.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Herman D. Crabb on July 14, 1983.

She is survived by seven children: son, Pete Crabb and wife Dee of Groesbeck; daughter, Ronda Davis and husband Allen of Keene; son, Winson Brewer and wife Amy of Lorena; son, Tim Brewer and wife Stacy of Groesbeck; daughter, Sherry Nichols and husband Danny of Cleburne; daughter, Jackie Wolf and husband Craig of Groesbeck; and daughter, Kimberly Perkins and husband, Shawn of Groesbeck; seventeen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and four sisters and five brothers: Lila and Bud Smith, Kathryn and Jody Sims, Joyce and Max Keefe, Lois and Earl Capps, Thomas and Edith Towns, James Towns, Henry and Sharron Towns, David Towns, and Richard and Brenda Towns.
