"Paul William Renwick joined our Heavenly Father on April 1, 2013, as his work on earth was done.
Born Oct. 11, 1948 in Utica, Mich. to George and Jean Renwick, he grew up in Watsonville, Calif.
After high school, he attended Biola Bible College in Azusa, Calif. In 1969, he joined the U.S. Air Force. He served our country in Vietnam during the war and later served 12 years in Germany in communications. While stationed in Germany, he was able to live among the Germans and see most of Europe, which were his most treasured memories.
He retired from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant in 1989, then started a landscape business in Scottsdale, Ariz., where he met Kathy Minehan, his soul mate.
In 2004, he sold his business and he and Kathy moved to Benson on a horse ranch they built in Happy Valley, where they found natural beauty and solitude.
Paul was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where he played the organ. He was an accomplished organist, having played since childhood. As a teenager, he saved his money to buy an organ rather than a car. Next to his well-worn Bible, his organ was his most treasured possession.
Paul is survived by Kathy Mineham, who loved and cherished him; his sisters, Kathy Albrecht, Teena Lopez and Karen Warus; and by brothers, Rob and Jim Renwick; also by many nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Calvary Baptist Church in Benson with Pastor Larry Pondoff officiating.
Paul was interred at the VA cemetery in Sierra Vista with the presence of the Air Force Honor Guard and bagpipes played 'Amazing Grace'."
