The graveside service for Elizabeth Inez Wales, 85, of Athens will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Roselawn Cemetery with Pat Lawrence officiating. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wales died Monday, April 8, 2013 at the Athens-Limestone Hospital. Elizabeth Wales was born April 1, 1928 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
She retired from Service America Vending Co. in Decatur.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister, one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.
Survivors include her son, Jerry Wales and wife Gail of Athens; daughter, Judy Vassar and husband Donald of Athens; 3 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Married Kelley Monroe Wales, September 28, 1946.
