Obituary - Maurine Wood Parrish, 77, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, passed away October 11, 1997 peacefully at the home of a daughter.

She was born September 23, 1920 in Farmington, Utah to Edward A. and Millie Gallup Wood. She married Joel Alma Parrish September 5, 1940 in the Salt Lake Temple. Maurine served the people of Farmington in the post office for many years and was a wonderful Relief Society President. She served faithfully as an ordinance worker in the Ogden Temple and held many other callings in the ward and stake. She was a great homemaker and will be remembered for her selfless devotion and unconditional love to family and friends. She was also an active member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and the Literary Club. She is survived by her six children, five daughters and one son: Pamela (Noel R.) Barton and Patricia (Ronald D.) Osborn, of Farmington; Joelene (Richard L.) Propst, Ogden; Russell Joel (Susan) Parrish, Bountiful; Eileen (H. Brent) Tippetts, Kaysville, and Lori (Bruce) Salvo, Farmington; 20 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; a sister, Kolleen Johnson, Centerville. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters: Wanda Williams and Barbara Evans; two brothers, Merrill and Newell Wood.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 14, 1997 at 1 p.m. in the Rock Chapel, 272 North Main, Farmington. Friends may call at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday at the church from 11:30-12:30 prior to services. Interment - Farmington City Cemetery.
