CASCADE, Iowa - Mary Ann Keegan, 62, of 20665 158th St., Anamosa, formerly of Cascade, died Saturday, April 16, 2005, at 6:15 p.m. at home, surrounded by her family. She suffered four years from Chronic Lymphocetic Leukemia.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Anamosa, with the Rev. Carl Manternach officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Cascade. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home, Cascade, where there will be a wake service at 4 p.m.

Mrs. Keegan was employed at the former Ertl Co. in Dyersville for 21 years, and then at the Jones County Courthouse. She was a cosmetologist all her life.

She was born on Aug. 10, 1942, in Temple Hill, daughter of Raymond (62594467) and Leona (Lavery) Koob. She married Duane B. Keegan on May 28, 1960, at St. Martin's Catholic Church, Cascade.

She received her education at the former St. Martin's School in Cascade, and later attended Capri College of Cosmetology in Dubuque.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Parish, Anamosa, and was a 4-H leader for the Temple Hill Toppettes.

Surviving are her husband, Duane Keegan, of Anamosa; four children, Linda (Raj) Kamalnathan, of Fremont, Calif., Penny (Robert) Duncan and Dawn Keegan, both of Marion, and Gregory (Peggy) Keegan, of Dyersville; 12 grandchildren, Douglas and Nicholas Weis, Jasmine and Emily Kamalnathan, David Keegan, Robyn Duncan, Holly and Drew Isaac and Andrea, Dillon and Jarrett and Michael Keegan; her father, Raymond Koob, of Cascade; her mother-in-law, Dorothy Keegan, of Monticello; five brothers, Robert (Connie) Koob, of Marquez, Texas, Richard (Grace) Koob, of Dubuque, Dave (Alice) Koob, of Maquoketa, Pat (Darlene) Koob, of Delmar, and Jerald (Janice) Koob, of Cascade; and a sister, Joan Koppes, of Cascade.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Leona Koob; a son, Jeffery Keegan; a brother, James Koob; and her father-in-law, Earl Keegan.
