Daniel Milton Collinsworth Passes Away At Piano Home Sunday


Daniel Milton Collinsworth, 76, passed away at his home in Plano, 1517 N. Avenue at 5:55 p. m. Sunday, after an extended illness.

His funeral services were held at 2'00 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the First Baptist Church in Plano, conducted by Rev. D. A. Grigg and Rev. Charles Luck of Denton, pastor of the Liberty Baptist Church, of which he was a member. Burial followed in the Plano Mutual Cemetery with the Harrington Funeral Home in charge, Grandsons were pallbearers.

Surviving are two sons, J. D. Collinsworth of Plano and T. P. Collinsworth, of Frisco; four daughters, Mrs. Roy Spencer, Mrs. Bud Coats and Mrs. Johnny Covington, all of Plano, and Mrs. J. B. Haun of Frisco; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mr. Collinsworth was born in Virginia in 1873, and had lived in the Plano community most of his life. His wife, the former Miss Lillie Wilson, passed away some forty years ago. He was a son of the late Farwick Collinsworth and Lucy Ann Rowlett Collinsworth, both natives of Tennessee He was a retired farmer and had been in declining health for nine years. He was a Mason for fifty years. Members of Plano Lodge had charge of services at the graveside. After retiring from active farm work, he purchased a home in Plano.

D. M. Collinsworth was a good man. He will be missed.
