Mr. Waters was born in January 15, 1927 in Beauford County, NC to the late Richard Dewey Waters and Lou Morris Waters. He was also preceded in death by his wife: Lucille Pearson Waters; his sister: Peggy Peele.
Mr. Waters graduated William R. Davie Class of 1945.
He served in the US Army during World War II.
He retired from J. P. Stevens after 40 years of service.
Mr. Waters loved his grandchildren, going to Nags Head and fishing and crabbing with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter: Jackie Cieslinski and her husband David of Roanoke Rapids; three brothers: Dr. Richard Waters and his wife Maxine of Greenville, SC, Bobby Waters and his wife Libby of Butner, NC and Gerald Waters of Portsmouth, VA; his sister: Ella Jane Garris of Roanoke Rapids; two grandchildren: Zack and Kaley Cieslinski of Roanoke Rapids. Also surviving are three special friends, Anna Lisa Kelly, Travis Futrell, and Laverne Taylor.
