Russell T. Fields, sr., died this morning at his home, 1606 Fifth Avenue, Watervliet, after an illness of five months. He was born at Dunham Hollow, Rensselaer County, in 1840. He was a car builder by trade and worked for Gilbert & Bush in Green Island. In later years he was employed by the Jones Car Company of Watervliet. Mr. Fields was a member of the Universalist Church of Troy, Apollo Lodge, F and A.M., and the Masonic Veterans' Association. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mr. E. J. Lynassen of Syracuse and Miss Jessie C. Fields of Watervliet, and five grandchildren. Services will be held at the residence Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, and the interment will be at Oakwood, where Masonic services will be held.
