Charleston, Ill., July 20- Andrew Burkes, police magistrate of this city for thirteen years and incumbent of the office, died at six o'clock this morning at his home, 318 West an Buren street. Death came after weeks of suffering from a complication of ailments
Funeral services will be held on Monday afternoon, with burial in Mound cemetery.
Mr. Burke was fifty-six years old. He was born southeast of this city a few miles, where he lived until he came to this city. He was a graduate of Lee's academy at Loxa and also attended the university of Illinois.
For a number of years he was engaged as a teacher in the country schools of Coles county. There survive the wife and one child, Miss Nelle Burke, deputy county clerk.
