Christine Finch was born October 2, 1922 to John (Gypsy) Burns and Bessie Burns and passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013.
The visitation will be from 11:00 to 12:00 on Monday morning April 8 at Morrison Funeral Home in Tuscumbia, with graveside service to follow at 12:30 p.m. in Tuscumbia Oakwood Cemetery with Dr. Randy Thompson officiating.
Mrs. Finch was born in Maud, Alabama and retired as Chief Clerk of Colbert County Probate Judge's office. Christine was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Tuscumbia for over 60 years.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph Warren Finch, Sr.
She is survived by her sons, Joe Finch, Jr. and his wife Sandy and Ralph Finch; grandchildren, Gib, Steve and Ben Finch, Jo-Lynn James and Amy McDonald; great-grandchildren, Mary Caitlin, Aaron, Phoebe, Spencer, Charley, Brady, Henry, Brennan, Knox and Molly Finch, Hunter and Chase McDonald and Sarah and Will James. Also surviving are her sisters Annie Lou Taylor (James) and Betty Burns Adams.
Pallbearers will be Gib, Steve, Ben, and Aaron Finch, Matt James, Travis McDonald, Doug McDonald, James McCoo and Bob Wright.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the love and compassion shown by Dr. Danny McFall and the staff of Glenwood Hilltop Assisted Living facility.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Covenant Christian School, Tuscumbia.
