Amanda C. Myles Dies; rites Set

RAINLLE (RNS) - Mrs. Amanda Catherine Myles, 77, Webster Springs, formerly of Rainelle, died at her home Sunday following an extended illness.
Born in Fayette County Sept. 13, 1887, she was the daughter of the late David and Mary Sims. She was a member of the Big Sewell Baptist Church in Rainelle and a member of the Eastern Star.
Her husband, Joseph H. Myles preceded her in death.
Survivors include three sons, Harry F., Gainesville, Fla., David T., White Sulphur, and Joseph H. Jr., Webster Springs; five daughters, Mrs. Clarence White, Jr., Nesa, Ariz., Mrs. Claude Dunnaway, Reedsville, N. C., Mrs. B. A. Rucker, Tazewell, Va., Mrs. Bob Glover, Fort Huschuca, Ariz., and Mrs. J. G. Shilliday, Pittsburg, Pa., a sister, Lula Crookshank, Rainelle; 22 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Big Sewell Baptist Church in Rainelle, with the Rev. Hilbert McClung of East bank in charge. Burial will follow in the Big Sewell Cemetery. The body is at the Dodd and Hurt Funeral Home in Webster Springs.
The family has requested that donations be sent to the Big Sewell Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery Fund at Rainelle.
