Chester C. Hainey, 52, of Del Monte Ave., in Salinas died of a heart attack on the 15th of January 1966. He died shortly after arrival at the Monterey County Hospital in Salinas. He had been a resident of Salinas for the past 27 years. Mr. Hainey was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

He was a housepainter by occupation and a member of Salinas Painters Local 1104. He served in the U.S. Navy Reserve during World War II and was a PTR 1-C Petty Officer.

Mr. Hainey is proceded in death by his father and his wife, Lucille, who died in 1959. He is survived by his mother Bessie, three sisters and a brother, who reside in Texas.

He was a member of the Prunedale American Legion Post 593 and Salinas Sportsmen's Club.

Funeral services were held on January 18 at 2 P.M. conducted at Struve and Laporte Chapel and interment was in Garden of Memories Memorial Park in Salinas.
