The news of the sudden death of Dr. Orville Moore Wednesday morning was a shock to his many friends at Prairie View as he seemed to be in perfect health Tuesday evening.

Dr. O. O. Moore Dead. "Dr. O. O. Moore died April 28, 1926. His death is attributed to acute indigestion. He was born in Pardee 44 years ago March 13th. When about 5 years of age he moved to Effingham with his parents, Dr. and Mrs. P. R. Moore. He completed the public school course and attended A.C.H.S., then later took a medical course at the Washburn Medical College, from which he graduated in 1906. For thirteen years he was a successful physician and surgeon in Topeka. He performed many operations at the St. Francis Hospital. He volunteered and served in the World War. After discharge he located in Effingham and built up a large practice. He was married to Mrs. Bessie Mick Reynolds, of Mansfield, Mo. on June 28, 1924. He is survived by his wife, a six year old step son, Billy, his parents, a sister, Mrs. D. H. Woods, brother Ed of Effingham, and a brother Smith Moore of Hoquiam, Wash."
