Mrs. Lola M. Spurr -
Wolfville - Mrs. Lola M. Spurr, 85, Wolfville, formerly of Torbrook Mines, died at Wolfville Nursing Home on March 5, 1974. Born in Weston, Kings Co. she was the daughter of the late Rupert Woodward and Mary (Webster) Woodward. She was a retired school teacher. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Armstrong, Wolfville; Jean (Mrs, Robert Shotton), Victoria, B.C.; Joyce (Mrs. Joel Christianson), Dartmouth; one son, Phillip, England; one sister, Miss Grace Woodward, Waltham, Mass.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband and one brother. The body rested at the Warren T. Roop Funeral Home, Middleton, from where the funeral service was held on Friday, March 8, 1974 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ronald Baxter officiating. Interment was in Torbrook Cemetery.
