Ralph Stoddard was the son of Ralph and Hannah (Lester) Stoddard Williams. He was the 2nd husband of Susannah (Elderkin) Avery Stoddard. They were married April 3, 1746 and she died June 5, 1782. Isaac Avery was her 1st husband and they were married October 10, 1742. During the Revolutionary War Capt. Stoddard commanded a company in the 8th Regiment Connecticut Militia - under Col. Oliver Smith. He died Garrison, Connecticut.
