Funeral services will be Wednesday in Crawshaw Mortuary Chapel, Murphysboro for Carl Eugene Adams, 47, of Route 3, Murphysboro. He died Sunday, December 19, 1972 in Veterans Administration Hospital in Marion. He was last employed at Lustour Printing Plant in Murphysboro. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and the International Printing Union. The Rev. Robert Norton will officiate and burial will be in IOOF Cemetery in Marion.
He was born January 18, 1925 in Goreville, the son of Harrison and Lena Dunn Adams. On November 28, 1954 he married Rosetta Taylor in Hernando MS. Survivors include his wife, his mother of Marion, stepsons, Ray Taylor of Gorham, Bob Taylor of Murphysboro and Joe Taylor of Atlanta GA, sisters, Lillian Zoeller of Marion, Vera Grill of Memphis TN, Joan Cassidy of Danielson CN, and Sue Keller of Addison and brothers, Charles and Dennis, both of St. Louis MO, Dale of Tell City IN, Hosea of Louisville IL and Frank of Des Plaines. A sister preceded him in death.
