Melvin S. Ellis, 75, life-long resident of York county, passed away at his home, 143 South York Ave., at 8:30 o'clock Friday night. Death was believed due to a heart attack.
Mr. Ellis was born near McCool July 3, 1875.
Surviving are his wife, Nona, two daughters, Mrs. Elsie Campbell, York: Mrs. Nellie Samuels, Chicago Heights, Ill., six sons, Clint Ellis, York; Clyde and Aldwin Ellis, Portland, Oregon, Floyd and Orma Ellis, North Bend, Ore., and Darell Ellis, Tokyo, Japan; two brothers, John Ellis, Benedict anzad Les Ellis, York; and five sisters, Mrs. Stella Wheeler, Mrs. P. O. Morain, and Mrs. Ed Henson, York; Mrs. Fred McCormick, Bedford, Ia., and Mrs. Myrtle Millholen, Loveland, Colorado.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed, pending word from relatives at a distance
