B.F. SIMMONS DIES IN OHIO

Lifelong Fairfield resident suffers fatal heart attack

Beverly F. Simmons, 46, well-known and lifelong resident of Fairfield, passed away suddenly at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the veteran's hospital in Dayton, Ohio. He suffered a heart attack.

Services have been arranged for 4:00 p.m. Friday at Hoskins Funeral Home in charge of Dr. M. A. Cable. Interment will be in the family lot in Evergreen cemetery.

Mr. Simmons had sustained minor attacks this fall but only recently had been released from a Chicago hospital and snet to Dayton to spend the winter months.

He was born in Fairfield May 6, 1892, the son of E. F. and Geneva M. Simmons. He spent nearly all of his life in this city.

Mr. Simmons was employed in the civil service department at Washington, D.C., when the World War broke out. He enlisted and was in the army about two years although it was necessary for him to spend some time in the Walter Reed hospital in Washington, D.C.

He was a member of Clinton Masonic lodge of Fairfield, of the American Legion and the First Methodist church.

Mr. Simmons is survived by one sister, Mrs. Margaret Hoerner of Fairfield, and three brothers, William and James of Fairfield and Edward of Centerville.
