"The current Missouri Veterans Home was originally presented to the Department of Missouri, Wormen's Relief Corps "for ex-Union soldiers and their wives". In the late 1900s, the institution became the "Federal Soldiers Home of Missouri". There is a cemetery on the site, but it is not operated by the federal government.
