Mrs. Sam Miller
Mrs. Susie L. Miller, 86, widow of Samuel A. Miller, died Sunday morning at Southwest Medical Center where she was admitted Friday afternoon.
She was born Nov. 17, 1891, at Freeport, Harper County, Kan., and grew up at Maize, Kan. She and Mr. Miller were married Nov. 29, 1909 at Wichita and established their first home in Newton. They came to Liberal in 1916, and in 1917 Mr. Miller established the Miller Mortuary here. He died Dec. 24, 1974. Mrs. Miller was a member of the Liberal First Christian Church.
She is survived by three sons, Wendell Miller, Pueblo, Colo., Wilbur Miller, Ulysses, and Wayne Miller, Liberal; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Martha) Brown, West St. Paul, Minn.; one brother, Rev. W. F. Little, Kinsley; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Miller Chapel by Rev. T. J. Bennett. Entombment will be in the Liberal Cemetery Mausoleum.
