He married Jettie Ann Watson, daughter of Henry Backley and Senola (Cox) Watson, on Mar. 6, 1911 in Powe, Stoddard County, Missouri.

James R Forkum
James R Forkum, a resident of Unionville, Mo., passed away Sunday April 28, 1968 at the age of 76 years, 1 month, and 10 days of age.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Will Forkum, and was born in the southern part of Missouri March 18, 1892.
He was united in marriage to Jettie Ann Watson, at Powe, Missouri. To this union two daughters were born.
Mrs. Forkum preceded him in death on March 14, 1964. He is also preceded by his parents, one daughter, one sister and one brother.
He became a member of the Assembly of God Church when he and his wife moved to Unionville several years ago.
Surviving is the one daughter, Ruth Anders of Green Castle, Mo.; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild; also one brother, Walter Forkum, and one sister, Dovie Kinser both of Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral Services were held today, Wednesday, May 1, 1968 at 2 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church, with Bro. Melvin Baldwin officiating. Burial in the Unionville cemetery.
