Died at St. Louis, August 15, 1873, Mrs. Juliet McWorkman, wife of Dr. James McWorkman, aged 53 years, and was buried at Goode's burying ground, eight miles above Jefferson City. She was a native of Springfield, Ohio.
Rev. W. M. Leftwich, D.D., conducted the funeral services in St. Louis. He was much with this afflicted child of God during her last illness, and administered to her the consolations of our holy religion. Mrs. McWorkman had suffered for a long time; indeed there has not been an hour for a year past that her friends would have been surprised to see her breathe her last. She was patient under her sufferings, and often expressed to Dr. Leftwich and her husband, that she was ready to go. No cloud intervened between her and the Christian's hope.
