Mrs. Mercy Blanchard
Mrs. Mercy Blanchard, 74, of Morris RD, died yesterday at Knight's Nursing Home, Wells Bridge, where she had been a patient for five months.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main St., with the Rev. Louis van Ess, rector of St. James Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oneonta Plains Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 p.m. today until service time.
Mrs. Blanchard was born Aug. 4, 1881, in Sutton-Valence, England, daughter of Richard and Rebecca (Tamsett) Baker. She was married in Oneonta Aug. 22, 1905, to Edward H. Blanchard, who survives.
Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, including Mrs. Edwin Newell, 18 Eighth St., Mrs. Hazel Schaffer, 42 Morgan Ave., Mrs. Basil Anderson, 10 Telford St., Carl Pearson, Delhi Stage, Francis Baker, 24 Valleyview St., Aaron Baker, 8 King St., and John S.
