William M Wyatt, 59, died at his home on the T S Randolph farm, 3 miles west of town on Hwy 70 south on Saturday at 6 p.m. as the result of a paralytic stroke suffered some 3 weeks previously. Burial was at the City cemetery Sunday afternoon, with the funeral held at the home.
The deceased leaves a wife and adopted son and daughter, Sallie and James Crofts; one brother, John Q, Genesis.
He was a son of Hiram Wyatt, who lived in the southern part of the county but passed away several years ago. He was born and reared in Cumberland county and had been a farmer all his life, living in Winesap until 2 years ago when he moved to the Randolph farm to be nearer to town on account of the failing health of Mrs Wyatt.
Mrs Wyatt is undecided at this time just where she will make her home, but may move back to the home farm.
