Word was received here Saturday of the death of George Sheriff, of Reynolds. Mr. Sheriff died at his cousin's near Gingle's corners. He was born and raised in Pomeroy, and his death was a shock to his many friends and relatives of this place. He was well respected by all who knew him. His remains were laid to rest in the Millersburg cemetery beside his wife who had preceded him four years. They leaves four little children. Their grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cornell, have the two youngest, their aunt in Iowa taking the other two.
