Louis Russell Hooks, 55, died June 10 at home. He was born in Wheeler County and lived most of his life in Toombs County. He was a retired city of Vidalia employee and a member of Cobb Creek Baptist Church in Lyons. SURVIVORS: his wife, Shirley Sconyers Hooks of Uvalda; three daughters, Sharon Harden of Savannah, Tammy Keene of Oak Park and Lisa Nee Smith of Uvalda; a son, Eric Hooks of Vidalia; five brothers, Roger, Randolph, David and Daniel Hooks, all of Vidalia, and Sammy Hooks of Warner Robins; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. VISITATION: 7-9 p.m. today at Murchison Funeral Home in Vidalia. FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Saturday at Cobb Creek Baptist Church, burial in Cobb Creek Cemetery in Lyons.
