Katherine "Kaye" Henggeler, our beloved Mother, Grandmother, and friend, was surrounded by her children as she went to her heavenly home on April 4, 2013.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 10th at West Valley Free Methodist Church, 100 E. 1st St., Fruitland. A viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m., prior to the service. Interment will follow service at Park View Cemetery, New Plymouth.

Arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Fruitland.

Kaye was born on Aug. 20, 1927 in Scottsbluff, NE. She and her five siblings were raised by her mother, Bessie Lane.

Kaye married the love of her life, Ben Henggeler, on Aug. 21, 1946. Kaye and Ben had four children, Larry, Colleen, Shirley and Sharon Dee.

After Ben passed away in 1986, Kaye was surrounded by family and many good friends in Fruitland. She took up golf and became a member of the Women's league at Scotch Pine Golf Course in Payette. She served on Fruitland Planning and Zoning Commission and on the Payette County Election Board for many years.

Kaye leaves behind her children and their families: Larry Henggeler, of McCall, Colleen and Lorn Gordon, of Boise, Shirley and Earl Baisley, of Boise, Sharon Dee and Glen Vogt, of Fruitland; her grandchildren: Larry Dean and Pam Henggeler, of McCall, Jeffrey and Shannon Henggeler, of McCall, Stacy and Jake Phillips, of Eagle, Danielle and Mike Meske, of Meridian, Michele and Bill Lancaster, of Payette, and Kalyn Baisley, of Boise; her sisters: Viola Puetsch, of Temple, TX, and Barbara Brumet, of New Plymouth. Kaye also has 13 great grandchildren.

Kaye was preceded in death her husband, Benedict Anthony Henggeler; her mother, Bessie Marie Lane; her three brothers, Richard, Donald and Wayne Lane; her baby girl, Mary; her granddaughter, Tracy and great-granddaughter, Sidney.

Kaye's family would like to thank Coleen and her support team from Legacy Hospice. We will remember each of you for the unparalleled care and support that you provided to Mom and each of us during this difficult time.

Mom, we will miss your beautiful smile and your sweetness and feel so blessed that you were our Mom and our friend.
