Betty Cribbs Whitehurst, age 83, of Williston, Fl passed away after an extended illness at home on April 3, 2013. She joined her life partner Dan Whitehurst on their 64th anniversary. She was born on July 28, 1929, in Bell, FL. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Williston, Fl. She loved painting and enjoyed spending time at her river home on the Blue Run. She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel E. Whitehurst Sr. She is survived by her sons Emmett Whitehurst, Monty Whitehurst (Polly); daughter Suzanne Whitehurst; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Graveside services were held on April 5, 2013, at Orange Hill Cemetery with Reverend Frank James and Pastor Will Clark officiating. Published in Gainesville Sun from April 5 to April 6, 2013.
