Lillian was born to Carl and Astrid (Soderberg) Modig. She graduated from Berkley High School and worked as a secretary. Lillian was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Elks Lodge, and the Scandinavian Society. She enjoyed quilting, playing cards, baking, cooking, cross stitching and keeping a clean home. Lillian is survived by a son, his wife, two grandsons, their wives, and four great-grandchildren. Lillian is precededed in death by her special cousins, Henry Gilberg and Elizabeth Adams. Lillian made her home with them when her mother died when she was 10 years old.
She is also preceded in death by granddaughters Marian, Sara and Anna Lisa Fredin; and a son, Dennis Fredin.
