Fannie [Etolyea] McDaniels September 20, 1913 - March 1, 2003 A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. in the West Side District Cemetery for long time Taft resident, Etolyea McDaniels. Etolyea was born on September 20, 1913 in Missouri to Benjamin and Kizzy Borders and she passed way from this life on March 1, 2003 at her home with her family close by her side. Etolyea was employed as a cook at Mercy West Side Hospital for over 11 years before she retired and became a homemaker. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church for many years. She was also a member of the Golden Agers and the Women's Missionary Society. She loved spending time with her family and playing several board games with them. She is survived by her son, Richard McDaniels and his wife Kathy of Taft, daughters, Frances Ozburn of Sanger, California, Dorothy Carmical and her husband Ken of Bakersfield, Earlene Johnson and her husband Jerry also of Bakersfield, Betty Batson of Fairfield, Montana and Nancy Page of Taft, 19 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl McDaniels in 1979. There will be a public viewing on Wednesday, March 5th from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and again on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the West Side Family Mortuary Chapel.
