BOVINA — Iris Nelline Spicer, 79, of Bovina died Thursday, May 31, 2012, in Amarillo.

Celebration of life memorial services will be at 3 p.m. today in First Baptist Church of Bovina with the Rev. Brian Mullins officiating. Arrangements are by Blackwell-
Mullins Funeral Home of Friona.

Iris was born March 11, 1933, in Boswell, Okla., to John and Nellie Ensey Gordon. Iris had resided in Bovina since 1956. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and Nanny and a faithful friend. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, and she enjoyed reading. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bovina.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Spicer, and her parents.

Survivors include two daughters, Kay Stanton and husband Joe of Farwell and Nena Mankin and husband Ronnie of Amarillo; a son, Marty Spicer and fiance Jana Kennedy of Forney; two sisters, Elsie Adams of Stillwell, Okla., and Adele Anderson of Forney; two brothers, Jim Gordon of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Lonnie Gordon of Paris, Texas; four grandchildren, Kristy Reeves of Clovis, N.M., Kylee Veazey of College Station, Tamara LupPlace of Garland and Clay Spicer of Dallas; and five great-
grandchildren, Brinn and Brooke Reeves of Clovis, N.M. Peyton and Jordan LupPlace, both of Garland, and Averie Spicer of Dallas.

The family suggests memorials be to American Cancer Society, 3915 Bell St., Amarillo, TX 79109
