Vista Minola Brittain Bustle, 97 of McLeansville ,NC passed away Friday, May 20, 2016 at Beacon Place Hospice in Greensboro, NC.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am,Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Forbis and Dick North Elm Street Funeral Chapel in Greensboro. Interment will follow at 2:30 pm at Iredell Memorial Parke in Statesville, NC.
Vista was born on June 15, 1918 in Davidson, County, NC to the late Phoenicia H. & Minnie Cline Brittain. She was the widow of the late Rev. Wade Bustle who was a Methodist Minister . She was a life long school teacher working for numerous school districts all over the state of North Carolina, that due the fact that Methodist Ministers are reassigned to new churches about every four to eight years. Her husband served his last term as pastor at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist of which both were members when he retired in 1991. Vista and he remained in the McLeansville Community after his retirement. After Wade passed away, she remained in McLeansville and was a faithful member of Mt. Pleasant UMC. She was also a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter Flora Shoaf and her husband Zolan of New Orleans, LA and a son Barry Bustle of Ithaca, NY, a brother Hugh Brittain of Shelby, NC and 2 grandchildren, Jasmine & Ian Bustle, and a great granddaughter Ophelia White.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am – 10:45 am Tuesday at the funeral home just prior to the funeral service.
