Mathias J. Walther. Services will be Thursday at 3 p. m. in the Klanke Funeral Home, 12629 Detroit Ave., Lakewood, for Mathias J. Walther, former Lakewood municipal judge who died yesterday. Long one of the suburb's prominent citizens, the exjudge had been living in Edinburg, Tex., where he operated a citrus grove and was a cotton grower since he resigned from the court in 1943. Mr. Walther died here at the home of a sister, Miss Myrtle Walther, 19457 Purnell Ave., Rocky River. He had been suffering from a heart condition. A week ago he and his wife, Effie, and their daughter, Joan, came from Texas to visit the sister. Mr. Walther, 66, was born in Cleveland and graduated from Central High School in 1907. He received his degree from the law school that was formerly part of Baldwin-Wallace College, Berea.
