Ariel M. (Boone) Foster O'Reilly

A private family inurnment service for Ariel M. O'Reilly, 94, will be held at a later date next year at the Greenwood Cemetery in Palouse, with the Rev. Corey Laughary officiating. Ariel passed away Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, at her home at Bishop Place in Pullman.

Ariel was born Aug. 27, 1921, at Palouse, to Cloyd and Armita (Howard) Boone. She attended her schooling at Palouse and graduated from Palouse High School in 1938.

She married LeRoy Foster on Oct. 3, 1938 at Colfax, and the couple made their home at Princeton. Mr. Foster died in December 1970. Ariel later married Richard O'Reilly in 1981 and the couple later divorced.

Ariel later moved to Moscow and lived at the Good Samaritan retirement apartments and moved to Pullman to the Bishop Place Independent Apartments in 2013.

Ariel had a vast antique collection, which she so enjoyed and was able to give the history of most items. She enjoyed her flower garden and was a great card player.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to staff and residents of Bishop Place for their kindness and caring of Ariel. She had many friends among the staff and residents.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Potlatch, Rebekah Lodge, Potlatch Post No. 10300 Ladies Aide and the Harvard Ladies Club.

Survivors include on son, Robert Foster (Mairi) of Sun City West, Ariz., and one sister, Betty Burden of Palouse. Ariel is also survived by two grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Ariel was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Foster; one granddaughter, Pizie Foster; two grandsons, Timothy Foster and Tony Foster; one brother, Delbert Boone; and one sister, Velda Peterson.

Memorials are suggested to the Shriners Hospital for Children, P. O. Box 2472, Spokane, WA 99210-2472.
