Aniela Guza Panick traveled to New York in 1903 with her cousin Agnes Gurz, and with her future sister-in-law Catherine Panek and 2 children Felix and Valerie. She was coming to marry her fiance Jacob Panek (Americanized to Panick) who came to America in 1901 and sent money home for her to make the journey to join him. She first traveled to Chicago with her cousin and worked a short time there before returning to Westmoreland County, PA to get married in 1904 and start a family.
