John Edward Soldan
John Soldan, 77, of Salina, passed away Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009. He was born Nov. 23, 1931, in Brookville. He was a machinist for Hoff's Machine Shop, Salina.
Survivors included his children, Sherry Underwood and husband Vernon, Larry A. Soldan and wife Gabe, Teresa Beck and husband Jim, Jerry Soldan and wife Denise, and Gary Soldan and wife Vicki; five brothers, Bill, Bob, Ralph, Steve and Micky Soldan; a sister, Cynthia Cunningham; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna; three brothers, Dan, Carl and Porter Soldan; and two sisters, Elizabeth Bond and June Labes.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today, Nov. 11, at the Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina, where the family will receive friends.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at the chapel. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to City of Salina Animal Shelter.
