ANADARKO INDIAN MISSION SCHOOL
Again we are called upon to announce the death of another of our pupils, Catherine Ahkeahbo. She was one of the bright, promising young girls at the Mission, and her cheerful, sunny disposition made her a general favorite. Of a naturally delicate constitution, she was unable to combat the dread disease of tuberculosis, and after hours of patient suffering she closed her eyes in their last long sleep. Some one from the Mission visited Catherine at her home every week, and each time it became more evident that she could remain but a short time with us. It were as ifshe said:
"I see a Hand you cannot see
Which beckons me away;
I hear a Voice you cannot hear
Which says, I cannot stay."
The solemn funeral services were held Tuesday morning in the Mission chapel and the burial took place in the Catholic cemetery at Anadarko.
To her sorrowing parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Chaino Ahkeahbo, and her brothers and sister, the Mission offers their sincerest sympathy.
Suggested edit: Catherine's mother was Maun-Dy (c. 1878-c. 1907).
