James A. Paulson, 83, formerly of Carteret, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, at his home in Lake Worth, FL.
Born in Woodbridge, Jim resided in Carteret for twenty two years before moving to Lake Worth, FL, less than a year ago. Jim worked as a maintenance supervisor in the Twin Towers, Rahway and lastly in Golden Age Tower, Perth Amboy before retiring. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus R.C. Church, Carteret. He was a third degree Knights of Columbus Avenel Council for over twenty years.
Jim is predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Mary; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
He is survived by his loving wife of thirty five years the former Cira M. Saint-Blanchard who was born in Cuba; 2 sisters-in-law, Ada Arencibia and her husband Manuel of Royal Palm, FL, Stella Salgado of Sarasota, FL; 3 nieces Delia, Jessica and Angie.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday 9:00am from the Chubenko Funeral Home 625 Port Reading Ave., Port Reading followed by a 9:30am Mass of Christian Burial from Sacred Heart of Jesus R.C. Church, Carteret with interment to follow at Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth. Visitation will be Monday 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm at the funeral home.
