Mr. Elige W. Culvahouse, Jr., age 93, died Friday, January 27, 2017, at Pigeon Forge Care and Rehabilitation Center in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
Funeral service will be Monday, January 30, 2017, 2:00 P.M. at Murphy Funeral Home with Rev. David Brown officiating. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1:00 P.M. until funeral time at 2:00 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Culvahouse was preceded in death by his wife; Evelyn Godsey Culvahouse; his parents, Elige W. Culvahouse, Sr. and Sallie Boggess Culvahouse; his brother, Ralph Culvahouse.
Mr. Culvahouse was a retired professor in Agriculture at The University of Tennessee at Martin. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Martin and a veteran, U.S. Army.
He is survived by his daughters, Sara (Paul Bay) Culvahouse of Greenback, Tennessee and Connie (Robert) Alewine of Sevierville, Tennessee.
