DOWDY, Jerry D., 61, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 5, 2012.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosebud Cousins; father, Ralph C. Dowdy Sr.; a brother, James E. Dowdy.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Myrtle "Myrt" S. Dowdy; sisters, Nancy Hundley and Norma Jean Pulley; brothers, Ralph C. Dowdy Jr. and wife, Donna, Michael W. Dowdy; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rte. 10). His funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Dale Memorial Park.
