imgServices will be Tuesday for longtime Tracy resident Thelma L. Hanes, 76, who died Nov. 15 at her Tracy home.
Born in Carter County, Ky., Mrs. Hanes lived in Tracy 44 years after moving from Ohio in 1961. She loved to bowl and was a member of WIBC Bowling Association in Tracy 32 years. She enjoyed working with her late husband and her son in the family's bee business. She also liked to take bus trips to Lake Tahoe and Reno, Nev., and made yearly trips to Ohio. Mrs. Hanes enjoyed gardening, cooking, doing crossword puzzles and watching soap operas and The Price is Right. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed.
Mrs. Hanes is survived by her children, Robert C. Hanes of Manteca, Nora R. Willis of Tracy and Frieda Miller, and her husband, Robert, of Tracy; siblings, Diane Myers, and her husband, Virgil, of Stockton, Jake Hall, and his wife, Wanda, of South Dakota and Susie Pribble of Wisconsin; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Robert Hanes.
Tuesday's services will begin at 11 a.m. at Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave. Visitation will be observed from 1 to 5 p.m. Monday and from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday. Interment will be in Tracy Cemetery.
Contributions in Mrs. Hanes' name may be sent to a charity of the donor's choice.
