He helped build and restore the historic Grace Episcopal Church in St. Francisville, Louisiana. Much of the interior finish work and pews were built by Thomas Raynham. He also served in the Confederate Army, Private, Company D, 4th Louisiana Infantry. He was captured near Nashville, TN, and kept at Ft. Chase, Ohio, where he was released in 1866. Thomas Raynham went on to be a successful builder, constructing a number of homes and businesses in his hometown of St. Francisville, Louisiana. He was married to Maria Towne and had seven children.
