He was born in Arapaho, Okla., and served in the Navy. He was a foreman at Proto Tools of Portland, retiring in 1979 and moving to Salem in 1980. His first wife, Nettie, died in 1969. His second wife, Jean, died in 1999.
Survivors include his brothers, Clyde of Oregon City, John of Sacramento, Calif., LeRoy of Chico, Calif., and Clarence of Molalla; stepdaughters, JoAnne Dearborn of Fort Myers, Fla., and Carol Brown of Salem; and four stepgrandchildren.
Visiting will be 1-5 p.m. Thursday at Canby Funeral Chapel. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at the mortuary. Interment will be at Zion Memorial Cemetery, Canby. Contributions: Willamette Valley Hospice.
