Michael G. Miatovich
Nov. 18, 1920 — Aug. 7, 2004

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday for lifelong Tracy resident Michael G. Miatovich, 83, who died Saturday at Sutter Tracy Community Hospital.
Mr. Miatovich was born and raised in Tracy, and lived here all his life except when he served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a retired engineer for Southern Pacific Railroad.
Mr. Miatovich was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, a member of the Knights of Columbus and a pillar of the community. Mr. Miatovich was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan. He will be greatly missed.
Mr. Miatovich is survived by his wife of 46 years, Eleanor Miatovich; and two children, Jay Miatovich of Danville and Marymichael Miatovich of Santa Clara.
Friday's Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, 162 W. Eaton Ave. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave. Interment will be in Tracy Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Mr. Miatovich's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 207 E. Alpine Ave., Stockton 95204.
