He was born Feb. 7, 1919, in Grand Rapids, Mich, and came to Bradenton in 1984 from there. Father name Edward J. Farrell, and his Mother name Ellen Ann Farrell.
He was ordained a priest in 1943 at St. Andrews Cathedral Catholic Church in Grand Rapids. He was a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Palmetto.
Survivors include a sister, Gerarda Plese of Bradenton; four nieces; and two nephews.
The Reception of the Body will be from 4-8pm Wednesday, with a prayer vigil at 7:30pm, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Palmetto. The service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Grand Rapids. Kicliter Funeral Home, Palmetto, is in charge.
