A Birthday Dinner.

A birthday dinner was given at Mr. and Mrs. D. R. Laney's May 13th, by their sons and daughter. Those present in the a.m. were: Mr. W. H. Laney and three children; Mr. W. D. Fant, wife and children; Mr. D. M. Laney, wife and children; Mr. W. A. Wood, wife and 6 children; Mr. J. D. Laney, wife and 5 children; Mrs. Rebecca Pitts; Mr. James Laney and wife; Mr. W. H. Granberry and two daughters, Misses Bertha and Lula; Mrs. Margaret (no last name given). Refreshments were served at dinner. In the afternoon more guests were invited. They were as follows: Mr. W. M. Allen and wife; Mr. Anderson Allen, wife and three children. Mrs. D. R. Laney enjoyed her 69th birthday and the guests left full of gladness.
